Olympic Spirit

I LOVE the Olympics. Always have. So, I have been glued to the tv watching all of the events! Thank goodness for DVR. I thought in light of the Olympics, I would post some old pictures of when I had the, once in a lifetime, opportunity to attend the 2002 SLC games. What a COOL experience!!!!
My good friend Heather and I got tickets last minute to the Women's Combined Downhill event

We also attended a Medal Ceremony where the band Lifehouse performed. That was SO cool!!! Here we are with Heather's brother and his wife. Oh ya, and it was FREEZING too!

But I have to say that the BEST part of the 2002 Olympics, and why it holds a very special place in my heart, was getting engaged to my Honey, Nate. He totally surprised me. SO AWESOME!!!!! Here is a pic of us just after he got down on his knee and popped the question.

There is something so special about the Olympic spirit. And when you get to experience it in person, it is something you will NEVER forget!

He's 100 Days Smarter

At Colby's school they make a big deal about the 100th day of school, so I thought we just make it a big deal at home too. He celebrated at school and at home! Colby loves the special little things, so I did just a few simple things to make the day special for him.

we started off with breakfast
then lunch

and he wore his 100 shirt.

It was fun! And something I had never heard of before. I don't remember celebrating the 100th day of school as a child, but it was fun to do with Colbs! Way to be 100 days smarter! We love you!

Sweet Joshie

Oh, our sweet Joshie!! He is 18 months today. What?! Where has the time gone?

At 18 months he:
  • is walking....finally!
  • waves goodbye
  • is the best cuddler in North America
  • says: cracker, bye-bye, dada, mama, car, cup, hi, Joshie, and uh-uh while shaking his head no (really the cutest thing ever!)
  • is a climber
  • goes crazy when Daddy gets home
  • is the most loveable 18 month old around!
  • loves our family group hugs at night
  • gets into the dishwasher WAY too much
  • melts mommy's heart on a daily basis
  • wishes he was a big kid like his brothers
  • is one content little man!

and, oh, how we love him so!

Cause For Celebration!

I know what you all are thinking when looking at this photo, 'didn't she write about Carson being potty trained months ago?' The answer is yes. However, we had a relapse in the potty department, but now I think we are back on track. And all I can say is WAHOOO!!!! I made this chart for him to give him some incentive, and, boy, did it work! So, guess what we will be doing??? Celebrating at Pirate Island. We are so proud of our Carson for being such a big boy! Way to go, buddy! Love him!
