Wonderful Carson

To be fair, I need to follow up to my last post and talk about how absolutely WONDERFUL Carson is.
  • He is FUNNY!!!! Always has us laughing, and is always trying to get a laugh.
  • He is always giving Joshie kisses.
  • He makes sure that whenever he gets a snack or something he gets one for Colby, too.
  • He is always watching out for Josh and makes sure I always know where he is and what he is doing.
  • He is Passionate about EVERYTHING! Especially Cars and trains.
  • Every time I make my morning shake with my Magic Bullet, he always gets the lid out of the drawer for me without me even asking him to.
  • He helps do the dishes and LOVES it.
  • He holds the dust pan when I sweep.
  • He loves to sing.
  • He gives great cuddles!
  • He is VERY independent.
  • He loves his big brother and does anything he does.
  • He is very smart!

Our family would not be complete without him! We love you, Cars-Babes! Thank you for blessing our lives daily!

The Accomplice

This is a plain old stool. A stool that has become Carson's buddy. He has found new freedom with this useful stool. Freedom to reach new heights.....especially in the kitchen. This stool has become Carson's accomplice in many mischevious acts. Like getting the hot cocoa out of the pantry that ends up all over Carson's face and the kitchen floor, or getting the chocolate sauce out of the fridge that ends up all over Carson's face and the kitchen floor, or the getting into the red paint I left out when doing a craft (that one I take full responsibility for). So, needless to say, when I hear this once, plain old stool being scooted along the kitchen floor...... I go running!

Snow Fun

Nate and the boys made this sweet snow cave a couple of weeks ago. They worked hard and it turned out pretty darn cool! (and don't ask why Carson is shirtless out in the freezing cold! We are good parents.....I think! :-))

Christmas '08

We had a good Christmas. We kept it pretty low key. Aunt Nae came and we spent much of the holiday with Nate's family. Thank you to Neal and Carol for hosting the festivities! And we miss you, Aunt Nae....will you just move here already!

Need A Good Laugh?

This is my Carson at his finest. Our Christmas Eve Nativity gone awry. It was SO hard to not laugh......so I laughed so hard I was tearing up.

*A BIG thank you to Curt and Carrie for getting this on film. This is priceless!

Some Thoughts

I have been in a thoughtful mood as of late. With this new year, I have been looking back on 2008 and how I am so glad it is over. And the hope that 2009 will bring "better" things. For too long I was dwelling on the sad and difficult things that were happening, but I have realized what a blessing those struggles have been. I am being refined and strengthened through these trials. As I continue to deal with them, I see and feel my Saviors love for me. My testimony of My Savior and the Plan of Salvation has been strengthened. I have developed a deeper love and appreciation for my husband, who has been amazingly supportive, patient and understanding. I have been blessed to be the mother of Joshua, who is the SWEETEST, cuddliest, happiest baby, and has brought me so much happiness.
I am ready to lose that dark cloud that has been following me around and feel alive again, because I AM SO BLESSED!
I love this quote by Heber J. Grant,
"may we be strengthened with the understanding that being blessed does not mean that we shall always be spared all the disappointments and difficulties of life."
I hope everyone's 2009 is a blessed one!
