Still Wondering

We were suppose to have our 20 week ultrasound this past Weds., but didn't for obvious reasons. I haven't even really had time to think about it, but yesterday. For a minute I really wanted to know the sex of the baby and know that it is healthy and growing properly. If you didn't notice, I put a little poll on the side. My family is pulling for a girl. I really don't have a feeling strongly either way. I never have with any of my children. I have just always figured I would have all boys. And I am so OK with that!!! I love boys! They are so much fun.

My sister, Rhonda, is trying to get us to go to one of those 3-D ultrasounds. We will see. It just isn't in the forefront of my mind. Our ultrasound at home is re-scheduled for April 9th if we are able to get back then. So for the moment, we will keep guessing.

My mom is hanging in there. The hospital bed came yesterday and she is really comfortable in it. Someone needs to be with her at all times, so we are taking turns. Nate is taking the boys this weekend, so I can have some uninterrupted time with her and just enjoy her. He is so great! I LOVE NATE!

Oh Colby

Last night this was a conversation we had:

Colby: Are you 18, mom? (he thinks this is my age because it is my favorite number)

Me: No although it would sometimes be nice to be that young again.

Colby: How old are you?

Me: 31

Colby: your old!

I guess to a 4 year old 31 is old. I will take that.

Me: Ask Papa how old he is.

Colby turning to his Papa: How old are you, Papa?

Papa: 65

Colby with a funny look on his face: Are you going up to heaven?

Oh my these kids just keep me laughing! I love his little mind!

Random Thoughts

I am excited to report that I have been feeling the baby moving around these last few days. So fun! I just love that feeling!

We set up a blog for my mom and how she is doing somewhat day to day. We are glad to get that set up.

Nate is still gone and only 4 more sleeps until he returns! We are so excited!

Can I say thank you to everyone who has been so wonderful to me and my family! The support and love means the world. Thank you, thank you!!!

Here is a funny story about my mom just the other day written by my sister Rhonda:

During a visit, Sandie was hit with some nausea, while in bed. With bowl in hand "just in case", Renae putting a nice cold compress on her mom's neck and face, Rhonda rubbing her back.very
serious and somber, then..we hear on the news- "...and Jennifer Aniston is shooting a movie in Seattle..."Sandie stops everything, sits up and says, "Jennifer Aniston is in Seattle shooting a movie??"

Missing Nate

Well, I would like to post some pictures but I can't figure out how to upload them to my parents computer, so I will keep working on that!
Things are good here. My mom has had a couple of good days, which really is just that she hasn't thrown up and can make it downstairs to hang out with the fam. She is hanging in there. She has lost a lot of weight and is only on a liquid diet. Home Health is going to start this week, so that will be nice to bring the medical care to her. She made a trip to the Dr. last week and that was very hard for her. She is so positive about everything. I admire her so much!
Nate left yesterday to go back home for a week and a half. I MISS HIM!!!! He has been the most wonderful support through all this. I just can't say enough abou him. He is so incredible! I am SO, SO lucky! He is always thinking of ways to help. I just love him! I am immensely blessed to be his wife! I can't wait for him to come back!
